The City of Santa Clarita kicked off its “Dreamscapes” art exhibition at the Newhall Community Center on March 26. It runs through June 24 at 22421 Market Street.
This juried show pulls together works that capture surreal, subconscious themes. Think dreamlike scenes built from memory, emotion, and fantasy. Pieces range from abstract visions to symbolic stories that mix reality with imagination, as detailed in reports from SCVNews.com and Hometown Station.
Spotlight on Taia Akulova
One standout is Taia Akulova. Her paintings shift between abstraction and form, turning inner thoughts into visual forms. “The paintings unfold like dreamscapes. Spaces where reality softens, time dissolves and identity becomes fluid,” she said. Her piece “Delicate Vibrations” leads the featured photo.
Akulova’s approach invites viewers into personal, intuitive worlds rather than just offering an escape.
